Chris Higson is a professor in accounting at London Business School, where he was formerly Chair of the Accounting Group and director of the School's Financial Seminar for Senior Managers. He has degrees in philosophy and in economics from University College, London, and has a doctorate in finance from London Business School; he is also a chartered accountant and worked for Deloitte and Touche.

Chris specializes in the financial performance and valuation of firms, in tax strategy and mergers. He appears regularly on radio and television as a commentator on these issues. His writing is published widely in international academic journals.

Chris has advised many major industrial corporations, financial institutions and government organizations, including GlaxoSmithkline, Rolls Royce, Apple Computer, Polygram, Vivendi, UBS, Schroder Saloman Smith Barney, and Putnam Investments. He has also been actively involved in a launching and running several start-ups. Chris is a highly regarded teacher and has taught on all the major programmes at London Business School.
